Psychometric Assessments for Workforce Planning

When I first started my development and training program with Psytech International to qualify as a Psychometric and Skills assessor, I have to admit I really couldn't see past what I thought would be the main purpose of testing people, Recruitment. It was clearly a step in the right direction for my head hunting business and as much as I read about how the tests were used successfully in team and with existing workforce places I never initially grasped the concept until I started down that road. Now fully qualified and exercising my newly acquired skill set I can fully appreciate their dutiful place for businesses who are looking to change, progress, downsize and multitude of other issues relating to their existing and hiring new potential employees in supporting this.

Take 1 individual, in a working environment most people adapt to their colleagues and our behaviour patterns are adjusted to accommodate not just workplace situations; but also, people who we meet in everyday working life, people whom we may never have chosen to strike up any kind of relationship had it not been because of the need to go to work and earn a living. Understanding your employees core, natural personality traits coupled with diverse options and forms of skills testing can support a greater understanding of what skills you hold within your business that may have gone unrecognised and how they relate to others within your teams, regardless of their position.

Staff retention, I may be shooting myself in the foot here but it's rare I speak with a client who really, really enjoys the recruitment process with horror stories left right and centre it is a challenge as an individual Head Hunter getting past the whole "we hate using Recruitment Agencies" So how can we protect, develop and support our valued employees in reaching their full potential and retaining them within our businesses without a full understanding of who they are away from the work place, where they are now and where they would like to be.
Computer Test, when it comes to Psychometric Assessing it's important to understand a computer test cannot identify 100% an individual’s complete personality, which is one of the reasons why it is so very important that the process is managed throughout with clear consultation and further exploration with the person being tested to ascertain, challenge and clarify the contents of the Assessment.
