Cloud 9 are currently working on an exciting opportunity for an experienced Account Manager to join one of the major players in the packaging arena.  Based in the Southwest you will be responsible for managing and developing an existing portfolio of accounts (current turnover circa £4million) to secure new and repeat business into the company.  You will have proven experience of key account management and have the ability to lead and motivate to achieve company sales objectives.  Please see the brief below for more details:

Key Responsibilities

Account manage and develop a portfolio of existing key accounts to ensure new and repeat business opportunities.

Ensure sales targets and objectives are met by providing strategic account plans and conducting regular reviews of performance against agreed KPIs.

Put in place and track progress of supplying sites agreed KPIs, taking action on any issues that will compromise performance.

Be responsible for budgeting and forecasting.

Be the key person for customer contact, developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships ensuring high level customer confidence and service.

Identify and take action on areas of improvement in areas such as customer service, profit margins and customer retention.

Coordinate promotional and marketing activities, providing market analysis to include competitor activity and market trends.

Accurately record and update database with requirements of customer and market intelligence, providing regular reports to senior management.

Skills & Experience

Ability to show proven successful experience in key account/multi-site management in the packaging industry, or a manufacturing environment.

Commercially astute.

A strong sales influencer and motivator.

Ability to manage account plans and monitor and produce progress reports.

Strong awareness of continuous improvement.

Customer focused and target driven.

Excellent communication on all levels and strong decision-making skills.

A confident and natural relationship builder.


Self-discipled, organised with ability to manage own diary/workload.


You will receive a basic salary of between £45k-£55k (DOE), company car or attractive car allowance, bonus, 25 holidays plus stats.
