Candidate Brief

Our client has an exciting opportunity for an energetic, enthusiastic and resourceful sales professional to become a member of our already successful sales team. The opportunity is in our UK Southern Territory, (Spanning across the country as far North as Leicester) selling our range of Food Grade Metal Detection Systems predominantly to food manufacturers.

The Principal focus of this role is to secure new customers, by fully utilising the business database, networking and prospecting. We do have a loyal customer base and enquiries will also come by way of the existing customers.

This is a Technical solution-based sales role, It is advantageous to possess a technical sales background but not a necessity as full product training will be provided. The successful candidate would need to be able to retain and relay technical information along with having a strong commercial acumen and desire to win. The ability to win new business is essential. We are looking to employ a commercially strong candidate who have the desire to succeed.

Although this is a field based role, there is a requirement to attend the office minimum 2 days a month.

Idea locations:  M4 Corridor based, Bristol, M3 Corridor.

Essential Qualities:

  • A hunger and desire to succeed with a will to win new business
  • Impeccable sale record with evidence to provide
  • Proven new business development. This role is 70/30 split New Business
  • The ability to successfully qualify complex sales enquires
  • The ability to demonstrate tested closing and negotiation techniques
  • 2 years field sales / territory management experience
  • Sound knowledge of the selling process
  • Commercially astute and ambitious

Desirable Qualities:

  • Knowledge of the food industry
  • Capex sales experience
  • Territory management
  • Ability to measure and assess a technical application
  • Solution Selling exposure

Package:

  • Up to £35,000 basic
