Our client is a specialist supplier of plastic flexible and paper based packaging. Due to continued success and growth they are now looking to add to their existing external sales team to appoint new Business Development Managers throughout the UK to continue their development plans for the future.
Selling a comprehensive range of flexible packaging solutions to include films, pouches and sacks (paper based and plastics) you will be responsible for identifying, approaching and winning new clients throughout the UK. Depending on your location there may be some existing account management, however your main responsibility will be in generating new business opportunities and developing these to their full potential.
You must have previous experience in new business development; with a good understanding of professional sales processes. It is desirable that you have product experience selling films, sacks and pouches, possibly into the food sectors; although we are keen to talk to candidates from other areas of the packaging industry with a flair for new business development that are keen to develop their career further and are interested in working for a forward thinking company, full product training will be given. It would be a direct advantage if you have experience selling packaging products into the food and pet food sectors. You are entrepreneurial, have excellent closing, communication, negotiation and presentation skills, an ability to understand technical processes and in identifying new market sectors. You will work autonomously and be able to manage your time effectively.
The basic salaries for these positions are open, based on your experience. Company car, mobile etc
