Our client is a leading provider of Packaging solutions and they are looking to appoint a new Business Development Manager for the Midlands territory.
The Role
A strong focus on new business development with some account management your remit will be to develop new business opportunities in the Engineering, Automotive, Electronics and other manufacturing industries.
Creating opportunities with the Technical, Design and Management team utilising strong value/solution based selling techniques to ensure you are successful in your role.
Key Duties
Agree and implement a sales strategy for the geographical region.
Identify, approach and win new business.
Develop and nurture relationships with existing customer, cross selling.
Meet sales targets.
Gain an understanding of customer's business models & processes.
Actively get involved with Marketing and promotional agendas for the Region.
Provide accurate reporting on Customer and competitor activities.
Working closely with Sales, Management, Technical and Design teams.
Skills & Experience
Minimum of 2 years sales experience in a business development field sales position.
Experience of selling into the Engineering, Automotive and Electronics manufacturing sectors.
Knowledge of Packaging products.
Sound commercial acumen and technical understanding.
Solution sales experience adding value to our client's business and their customers.
Pro-active, self-motivated, excellent communication skills with people at all levels.
Remuneration
You will receive a high and attractive basic salary (DOE), company car, laptop, 25 holidays + Stats and a fantastic contributory pension scheme.
