Our client is a leading provider of Corrugated Packaging Solutions and they are looking to appoint a Business Development Manager for the Midlands territory. Your new role will be predominantly to identify and develop new business, with some account management tied in.  This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has at least 2 years sales experience in a business development role, with excellent negotiation and cross-selling skills.  If this sounds like the perfect opportunity for you, then read on for details about the role and responsibilities:

The Role
Your new role has a strong focus on new business development with some account management, managing a small portfolio of well-established accounts. You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and nurturing customer relationships.  You will work and collaborate with the Technical, Design and Management teams creating opportunities using your strong value/solution based selling techniques

Main responsibilities
Agree and implement a sales strategy for the region
Identify, approach and win new business
Develop and nurture relationships with existing customer, cross-selling where applicable
Meet sales targets
Gain an understanding of customer's business models and processes
Play an active role in the marketing and promotional agendas for the Region
Accurately report on Customer and competitor activities
Work closely with Sales, Management, Technical and Design teams

Skills & Experience
Minimum of 2 years sales experience in a new business development position
Experience working in the corrugated sector of the packaging industry, ideally with a distribution background
Knowledge of Packaging products
Sound commercial acumen and technical understanding
Solution sales experience adding value to our client's business and their customers
Pro-active, self-motivated and results driven
Excellent communication skills with people at all levels

You will receive a high and attractive basic salary (DOE), company car, bonus, 25 days holiday plus company benefits
