Cloud 9 are looking for a Business Development Manager to join a leading manufacturing packaging company in the North West.  This is a 100% new business role where you will be responsible for identifying, winning and developing new business to their full potential. You will be working on a hybrid basis with weekly visits to site.  We are looking for professional salespeople who have corrugated experience and a hunter-style approach to finding new business.  Please see the job brief below:

The Role

To generate and open doors for new business opportunities and customers into the company.  Develop and maintain strong relationships to ensure repeat business and new business sales targets are met.

Key Responsibilities

Maximise sales by creating, planning and implementing business plans.

Source, win and develop new business opportunities to their full potential.

Identify potential client companies and build strong and trusted relationships with the key decision makers.

Develop a strong knowledge of company products, solutions and services in order to recognise and manage customer requirements.

Research and keep abreast of all competitors and changing trends.

Manage your own diary, approaches, pitches and sales presentations.

Communicate with all relevant departments to ensure the smooth running and profitability of within the company.

Experience, Skills & Qualities

Proven corrugated sales experience within the packaging industry.

Ability to demonstrate successful record of securing new business.

A natural and confident salesperson with a ‘hunter-style’ attitude.

Strong negotiation and closing skills.

Excellent organizational and presentation skills.

Excellent communicator on all levels.

Strong business acumen.

Self-motivated and results-driven.

Thrive on providing a first class customer service.

Ability to manage own diary and appointments.

Strong computer and administration skills.


You will receive a salary of £40k - £45k (negotiable depending on experience), bonus and company car.
