This is a remote role where ideally you will be based in the Midlands. You will be responsible for sourcing and bringing in new business opportunities while managing a portfolio of existing accounts. Key Responsibilities
Identify, develop and maximise new business opportunities in a variety of sectors/new markets.
Manage and develop a portfolio of existing accounts, identifying and acting upon new and repeated business opportunities.
Assist in the build up of market intelligence.
Negotiate commercial and contractual terms, ensuring customer requirements are met to a high standard.
Develop and maintain a contacts network with potential and new customers on all levels.
Continuously work towards building strong and trusted relationships with key decision makers.
Develop a strong knowledge of company products and services, promoting and updating new developments with customers.
Promote the company's large portfolio of products and services.
Liaise and build good relationships with colleagues, keeping abreast of new opportunities to expand customer base.
Produce performance and sales development reports and statistics as and when required.
Be active in contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Comply with all company health and safety, corporate policies and rules regarding hygiene at all times, ensuring colleagues and visitors do likewise, alerting management to any risks.
The Person
Ability to demonstrate successful sales skills within large organisations.
Experience in the packaging industry, desirable.
Ability to demonstrate successful NPD and winning new business experience.
Ability to source new companies, markets and contacts.
A good understanding of contractual terms of purchase and supply and its implications.
Excellent communication skills on all levels.
Ability to build strong and trusted professional relationships.
Outstanding presentation, negotiation and closing skills.
Ability to prioritise and organise a heavy workload and work calmly under pressure.
Results driven and self-motivated.
Positive attitude with can-do approach.
Good team player; ability to enthuse colleagues to reach and beat customer expectations and requirements.

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications/packages.

Fully Valid UK Driving Licence - extensive UK travel required.
Remuneration
You will receive a salary of up to £45k DOE, car allowance (circa £10k), company pension, 25 days holidays, plus stats.
