Cloud 9 are looking for a Business Development Manager to join a leader in the packaging industry! The role is to cover the South UK so you will ideally be located along the M4 corridor.  You will be responsible for sourcing and bringing in new business as well as managing a portfolio of large accounts.  We are looking for a professional salesperson with strong new business skills who can demonstrate success in growing an area.  If this sounds like you, please take a look at the job brief below for more information:

The Role

Source, win and bring in sizable new business opportunities as well as opportunities within existing customer accounts.

Provide a high level of customer service at all times.

Maintain and develop existing customer accounts using detailed plans for their area.

Management of supply agreements and customer contracts in an efficient manner, ensuring they are complied with within the terms agreed.

Keep clear communication open with customers, problem-solving any issues in a time manner.

Build and maintain contacts on all levels in all current and future customer base.

Research and identify market trends and competitor activity in order to measure the demand for possible new products.

The Person

Minimum of 2 years sales experience in new business development.

Formal professional sales training is desirable, this is a value added, consultative sales position.

Ability to demonstrate successful history of developing a region.

Experience of managing large accounts.

Experience working in the packaging industry desirable but not essential.

Business to business field sales experience would be beneficial.

A consultative and innovative salesperson.

Commerically astute.

Excellent presentation and closing skills.

Strong negotiation skills.

Target-driven and focused with a strong desire to succeed.

Confident and clear communication skills on a mid and high-level basis.

Excellent relationship building skills.

Excellent time management.

Ability to prioritise a heavy workload.

Excellent customer service skills with a desire to provide the highest customer experience.
