Cloud 9 are working with a global leader in innovative, EOL packaging machinery and consumables who are looking to appoint a Business Development Manager. Covering the North of England and the Midlands, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and managing and developing a portfolio of existing accounts. This is a fantastic opportunity for a sales professional with at least 2 years account management and new business development experience. This role is roughly 30% account management and 70% new business development, therefore would suit candidates with a ‘hunter’ sales profile. For more information on the job brief please see below:
Key Responsibilities
Manage and develop a portfolio of existing accounts.
Develop strategic plans for sourcing new business opportunities and set targets for your region.
Open up new ways to upsell and cross-sell all company services and products.
Be first point of contact for customer queries and issues on assigned accounts.
Ensure the drive towards targets is constant and consistent, and to plan.
Build strong and trusted relationships with new and existing customers.
Promote company's vision, products and services.
Provide annual reports as to the development and growth of new and existing accounts.
Provide analyses and projections of future customer requirements to relevant departments.
Support and participate in marketing promotions.
Communicate relevant information to customers and across departments to ensure smooth running of all accounts.
Provide detailed analyses on current market trends and new opportunities.
Manage CRM system, updating and keeping accurate records for purpose of providing frequent business reviews.
Skills and Experience
At least 2 years account management and business development experience in a B2B environment. We are keen to speak with individuals who have a 'Hunter' sales style.
Experience of selling through Packaging distribution networks & have contacts within these.
At least 2 years' experience in the EOL packaging machinery and consumables industry and/or automatic bagging experience, preferable.
Ability to demonstrate a successful record of new business development.
Have a hunter-style and consultative approach.
Ability to work in a consultative manner.
Confident in builing relationships.
Excellent verbal and written skills.
Highly organised.

Computer literate.
Confident in promoting company policies, vision, products and services.

Remuneration
You will receive a salary of up to £65k (negotiable), plus an attractive bonus, company car, +home office.
