Business Development Manager

Cloud 9 are working with a UK leader in the flexible packaging industry who are looking to appoint a Business Development Manager for the North West. This is a remote role where you will be responsible for a mix of new business development and account management, with the stronger focus being on identifying and developing new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years successful sales experience with a flexibles or manufacturing background.  Please read more in the job brief below:

Key Responsibilities

• Strong focus on sourcing, identifying and winning new business into the company.
• Managing and developing an existing portfolio of accounts.
• Building and developing new and existing opportunities, cross-selling where possible.
• Building strong and trusted customer relationships.
• Resolving any issues in a speedy and efficient manner.
• Providing a high-level of customer service at all times.
• Proactive in promoting and marketing company products and services.
• Meet with decision makers presenting solutions and timescales to best suit their needs.
• Occasionally attend company office for team building.

The Person

• At least 2 years’ experience working in the flexibles sector of the packaging industry, or have a distribution background.
• Demonstrable successful record of winning new business and building a territory.
• Account management experience.
• Commercially astute.
• Strategic thinker.
• Strong presentation, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Excellent time management.
• Problem-solver.
