Commercial Business Development Manager

 

Our client is a leading Flexible Packaging business, due to continued growth they are now looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Business Development Manager to add to their team.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies aimed at accelerating growth.
  • Market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities.
  • Meeting existing customer requirements and objectives.
  • Building market position.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in procurements, technical and customer service teams to ensure customers’ expectations are met.
  • Lead & facilitate cross functional teams to enhance business performance and customer experience.
  • Operate as an influential leader in and outside our client’s business, role modelling our client’s values and behaviours.

 

Key Duties

 

  • Develop additional gross profit, selling flexible packaging solutions to existing and new clients.
  • Manage existing portfolio of UK & International customers.
  • Increase gross profit levels.
  • Identify, approach and win new business within the UK and Europe.
  • UK & European travel.
  • Retain ownership and responsibility of sales order from Procurement of raw materials and services through manufacture, shipping and delivery to final payment.
  • Researching industry and related events, publications.
  • Screen potential business deals by analysing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities.
  • Closing new business through coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, integrating contract requirements with business operations and risk management.
  • Contribute to the development of our client’s business strategy.

 

Skills & Experience

 

We are keen to talk with candidates who have experience and a strong track record of developing and winning new business in the Flexible Films area of the Packaging industry, specifically with supply solutions experience in the Food industry.

  • Sales planning and prospecting experience

  • Market knowledge
  • Financially and commercially astute
  • Ability to influence and negotiate at all levels
  • You must have excellent communication, Interpersonal and organisational skills.
