Our client are a world leading manufacturer and provider of packaging solutions.
Working in partnership with our client we are looking for a motivated individual to join a team of dedicated Engineers in maintaining our clients machines and auxiliary processes.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar environment. You will join a team working an eight-week, day-based cycle, involving some weekend coverage, our client offers very attractive periods of rest.
Our client is looking for a person who is willing to learn the complexities of their drives but ideally you will have a strong DC/AC drive systems knowledge and working knowledge of interrogation of PLC and software systems.
This role will take more of a lead in the understanding of our client’s systems and you will be afforded the time to learn how their systems work.
We are particularly keen to speak with people who have experience in older Allen Bradley PLC systems – using PLC5 and RSLOGIX500 software or someone with a working knowledge of Siemens S5/S7 or Allen Bradley RSLogix5000 could adapt to this technology. This role does not involve programming or commissioning PLC and SCADA systems.
Support, maintain and develop all machine drive systems AC & DC
Support, maintain and develop PLC Systems – Allen Bradley
Support department with day-to-day departmental requirements, troubleshooting etc.
Essential Qualifications Required
NVQ Level 3 (or equiv.) in Electrical Engineering
Minimum of 3 years’ work experience as an Electrician, working within an industrial environment.
