Estimator

Cloud 9 are working with a leading corrugated packaging company who are looking for an Estimator to join their team in Yorkshire.  You will be working alongside the Designer and Sales Teams assisting in all processes from enquiry, design, through to order.  This is a fast-paced environment so you will need to be able to hit the ground running while remaining calm under pressure. Key Responsibilities

Review customer enquiries, measure samples and prepare quotations.

Determine appropriate board grades and styles.

Raise specs, to include the best machine routing and price.

Create CAD files for the purpose of sampling and artwork.

Work closely with sales reps to ensure exact quotations are interpreted.  

Liaise with customers on approvals of samples, artwork and ink swatches.

Liaise with suppliers.

Arrange ink swatches.

Assist the designer in the production of samples together with parcelling and despatch.

Ensure correct specification and routing with thorough sign offs and documentation checks.

Order any necessary requirements to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded in a cost effect manner.

The Person

2 years’ experience in an estimating role in the packaging industry, corrugated sector preferred.

Experience in a fast-paced environment.

Self-motivated with a positive and can-do attitude.

Team player.

Excellent mathematical skills.

Analytical and excellent problem-solver.

Excellent communication skills.

Good work ethic and meticulous.

Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask.
