We are working on a great opportunity to join an industry leader as part of their strategic External Account Management team. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing accounts on a national basis in the UK. We are keen to speak with experienced candidates who have a field sales background having worked for a Packaging Distribution business with a strong technical understanding of packaging products such as Corrugated, Flexible films, Tapes, Packaging Machinery etc.
To develop existing accounts to their full potential.
Ensure customer order levels are managed and at an acceptable gross profit level.
Working closely with key contacts to ensure your account base is managed effectively, delivering a high value customer service and thus retaining your accounts.
Arranging and attending customer visits.
Ensuring all customer quotations are sent and followed up quickly to secure orders.
Increase current customer sales.
Ensure all lines are ordered repeatedly securing the ongoing business.
Cross sell where applicable.
Attend sales meetings at our client’s site when needed.
Work closely with other departments forging strong internal relations.
Increase gross profit margins.
To prospect small – medium sized potential new customers and maintain larger clients.
Skills & Experience
You must have previous field sales experience having worked for a Packaging Distribution business and be able to demonstrate the ability to manage existing customers, securing repeat and new business. You work well within a team but also autonomously. You must also be prepared to travel throughout the UK as and when demand of the business requires you to do so.
A good knowledge of PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel & Word.
A full driver’s license is required due to the nature of this position.
You will receive a high basic salary in line with your experience, commission, company car etc. Please apply for the full remuneration package.
