Our client is a leading provider of flexible packaging and they are looking to appoint a new Internal Sales Executive with a view to progressing into an External Sales Executive within 12 months. If you are looking to progress you sales career into an External Sales position this is an excellent opportunity for you.
o Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales
o Generate sales leads
o Build a sales pipeline in line with sales strategy promoting our client’s products and services
o Gain a clear understanding of customers businesses and identify requirements
o Achieve revenue/margin targets agreed with the Sales Manager in line with budget requirements
o Provide accurate revenue forecasts to the Sales Manager on a weekly basis
o Ongoing account management, maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers
o Dealing with complaints/returns/feedback
o Communicate raw material movements, generate new price lists
o Provide excellent customer service at all times
Knowledge & Experience:
o Achieving new business
o Sales techniques
o It is desirable that you have experience within the packaging industry but not essential
o B2B sales experience
o Microsoft office
o Margin calculations
o Price pro-rata calculations
o An understanding of Supply Chain from manufacturer to end user
o Full clean driving license
3-year plan for the successful candidate.
1st year internal sales – cold calling, lead generation, appointment making etc.
2nd year internal – external role
3rd year Full external role.
Depending on person these guidelines can be reduced.
Starting salary of £20,000 p/a rising with progression within the role and then including Company Car, Laptop, Mobile etc
