Our client is a UK & European provider of Packaging solutions supplying most industry sectors including Food, Drink, Electronics, Chemical’s etc and they are looking to appoint a National Business Development Manager to join their team. 

The Role

You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts and developing new business opportunities throughout the UK.  Selling a comprehensive range of specialist packaging products, you will be required to maximise sales within existing accounts and identifying, approaching and winning new business.

Skills & Experience

You must have experience within a field sales position in a Packaging company, we are keen to speak with candidates from the Plastic and Flexible Packaging sectors although applications are invited from other areas of the Packaging industry

New business development, targeting new companies and building strong relationships.

Presenting company strengths and benefits in a structured sales pitch.

Representing the company in a professional manner always both with existing and potential customers.

Responsibility for key accounts and development of the sales with those customers.

Arranging new business appointments to discuss niche market products and other ongoing requirements to ensure excellent customer service is provided.

Building solid business relationships with customer's key personnel.

Producing and presenting sales figures, forecasts, targets on market activity.

Generate ideas to agree target companies to approach / sectors for business development using thorough understanding of the requirements and capabilities of the company, within agreed criteria.

Generating enquiries and providing detailed information for quotation.

Liaise effectively with internal personnel in all aspects of account management.

Responsible for analysing and investigating price, demand and competition.

Build rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits, exploring specific needs and anticipating new opportunities.
