Cloud 9 have an amazing opportunity for a National Sales Manager to join a global company in the caps and closures sector of the packaging industry! You will inherit a sizable portfolio of existing accounts which you will be responsible for nurturing and developing, bringing new business opportunities and profitability into the company. We await hearing from candidates with at least 5 years’ experience of B2B selling, ideally within the plastic sector although other sectors welcome.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and develop a sizable portfolio of existing accounts ensuring profitable sales growth.
Build and develop strong relationships with both existing and prospective key decision makers.
Negotiate and develop new agreements and maintain existing ones.
Identify new products and ways to improve on existing products.
Take the lead on existing and prospective costing, pricing and negotiation.
Develop a good understanding of company products to best recognise and understand customer requirements.
Actively assist in preparing annual sales budgets.
Create and apply sales plans.
Contribute, prepare and provide input on profitability of new products and evaluation for new projects.
Proactive in marketing through attending events and online researching.
Update and maintain CRM system and sales pipeline.
Provide monthly sales and customer visit reports.
Communicate with marketing and key account teams and attend meetings.
Skills and Experience
At least 5 years of experience of direct business to business selling.
Experience working in the packaging industry, preferably plastic, but other sectors considered.
Good technical knowledge within plastic packaging.
Degree level education or equivalent.
Strong negotiation and closing skills.
Commercially astute.
Experience of negotiating contracts.
Excellent presentation skills.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Computer literate.
Team player.
Remuneration
You will receive a salary of up to £70k DOE plus attractive company package.
