Cloud 9 are working with a well-established, award-winning packaging solutions company who are looking to appoint a New Business Development Manager for the South East. This is a home-based 100% new business role where you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities within your territory. We are looking for experienced sales professionals with strong negotiation and closing skills. If this sounds of interest, please read the brief below:
Key Responsibilities
Identify, source and secure new business.
Create, plan and implement business plans for new customers.
Build, manage and maintain own pipeline of target customers, building strong relationships at all levels to ensure repeat business.
Support new business sales strategy development and implementation.
Be proactive in implementing marketing campaigns.
Meet with customers; anticipating and listening to their requirements, actively identifying areas where innovative solutions can be proposed to meet the customers needs.
Negotiate new long term agreements.
Be proactive in business projects when requested.
Provide regular new business sales activity and wins reports, and other reports as requested by management.
Keep appraised of competitors and trends.
Work closely with finance to implement a working cost to serve model.
Comply with and promote company values.
Provide first class customer service at all times.
Develop a strong understanding of different markets by attending exhibitions, conferences and seminars.
Attend training courses where necessary.
Comply with all company health and safety policies, regulations and procedures; complete online training, report any hazards.
Skills, Experience and Qualities
Experience working within the packaging industry. Corrugated experience would be of advantage, but not essential.
At least 2 years working in a field sales environment.
Ability to demonstrate successful history of new business development.
Enthusiastic, confident and driven in securing new business.
Knowledge of standard and bespoke stock lines.
Excellent interpersonal/communication skills on all levels externally and internally.
Excellent at building positive and trusted relationships.
Excellent presentation, selling and negotiation skills.
Customer-focused.
Strategic thinker and planner.
Good time management skills.
Good judgement and decision-making skills.
Excellent team player/leader.
Computer literate.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Remuneration
You will receive a salary of between £30k and £33k DOE, an excellent bonus package, car, pension and laptop.
