We are looking to recruit an Operations Manager for our client within the corrugated sector of the packaging industry. You will report to the Operations Director supporting delivery of their strategy and goals through leadership and development of a safe and effective manufacturing unit. You will be fully accountable for production, logistics and the financial performance of the plant.
Ensure Health & Safety is maintained at the highest level
To ensure that all employees are fully trained in all aspects of their role
Delivery of the weekly site production targets
To ensure daily customer deliveries are accurate and on time
Maintain quality and environmental standards
Delivery of set KPIs
Ensure factory planning, load maximisation and effectiveness are achieved
To develop and sustain a positive, continuously improving, customer focused culture at the site
Management of Transport Operations licence and legal compliance
Recognises financial and marketing implications of decisions and actions. Is alert to economic conditions, business opportunities and competitors' activity
Tackles day to day issues in the context of a broad strategic framework

The candidates we are looking to speak with will ideally have:
NEBOSH Certification minimum
Certificate/Diploma in Management
Lean/ Six Sigma trained.
Degree level education
Previous experience of leading manufacturing teams.
Previous experience of being accountable for customer compliance
At least 5 Years' experience at management level in a fast-paced production / customer service environment.
Ability to grasp different disciplines of manufacture across mixed products
Familiarity with business principles and a confident decision maker.
A good listener who can absorb information from several quarters and deliver valued progression.
Packaging industry experienced preferred.
Excellent communication skills
