The Production Planner's primary role is to control all routine matters relating to the resourceful planning and scheduling of all relevant production resources to ensure that customer service is achieved on time in full and within budget.
To ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment for which you are responsible within the framework of HSHE and employment legislation.
Develop, implement and maintain effective plant wide scheduling routines to ensure that the best possible utilisation of machinery and labour is provided at all times, and customer service levels are met if not exceeded.
Ordering appropriate papers ensuring minimum stock levels are maintained and maximum stock levels are not exceeded.
Help to coordinate appropriate papers that are required for the programme and in line with the company policy of grading to ensure maximum utilisation.
Achieve zero unauthorized upgrades and a minimum Yield benefit from paper of 7%.
By resourceful planning, ensure machine downtime is minimised and trim wastage is controlled as appropriate within time frames and programme running.
Post lead times accurately and timely.
Show flexibility and maneuverability where necessary regarding additional order planning.
Maintain relationships inter-departmental and inter-site ensuring effective communication at all times.
Investigate report and recommend remedial action to resolve problems, minimise complaints and ensure best possible practice in planning operations.
Ensure all reporting requirements are met on time and in full.
Attend meeting as and when required be proactive in your contributions when attending meetings and advise on any foreseeable issues. Liaise with the departmental Managers to discuss issues and foreseeable problems.
To work within and assist in sustaining a positive, continuously improving customer focused culture at the site.

You will receive a basic salary of circa £25k-£30k (DOE & Negotiable) 25 days holiday and a fantastic pension scheme.
