Our client is a leading corrugated packaging company with multiple production sites who are looking to appoint a Sales and Technical Manager for a key sector of their business.  This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced external salesperson who is self-motivated and driven.  Part of your role will be to manage and deliver existing and new business through identifying key opportunities.  The role requires extensive travel and therefore will be a remote working role with an expectation of working from home or the office in the Midlands once a week.  Please see below for the detailed responsibilities and the role you will be taking on:

The Role
Reporting to the site GM, this is a technical selling role that requires skills to manage and deliver existing and new business through identifying key opportunities for growth and mutually rewarding relationships between our clients, their clients and brand owners. There will be weekly movements including customer and retail visits, our clients' other sites, conferences and exhibitions. The role also includes the responsibility to lead format education and development within the sector.

The ideal candidate will be: 
Ideally someone with 3 to 5 years external selling experience

Has experience either in corrugated or folding box board sector. Knowledge of Litho print/ and or selling into the drinks sector an advantage

A Team player, confident and professional in approaching internal / external stakeholders and a will to provide exceptional levels of service.

Someone who has a highly responsive customer focused approach and has experience selling and developing packaging formats with sound technical thinking.

Has the ability to work in a demanding customer centred role delivering against agreed deadlines, priorities and targets.

Someone with high work ethic, excellent attention to detail and proficiency in using Microsoft Office products 

Self-motivated, able to manage and deliver on agreed set objectives as well as manage projects and communicate to both customers and the internal team effectively and with confidence. 

Good negotiator with excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate at all levels of an organisation.
 
Main Duties and Responsibilities include:
Be the person who has the most up to date insight into the sector including trends, shopper marketing and consumer behaviour
Provide technical expertise to brands along with forming a close working relationship with other parts of the business involved in the end product
Instigate and support customer new product development initiatives
Be responsible for the creation specific marketing 
Represent the company at specific sector events and support customer events
Develop the customer service teams' interface with customers 
Build relationships with colleague Account Managers who service sector, find ways to support them and develop format
Develop 'sector specific' Experience Centre programs for customers
Working with Central Team to gain access to market insight tools and share with our customers

Remuneration:
High end Basic Salary, depending on experience
25 days per year of holiday plus statutory Bank Holidays
