Cloud 9 have an amazing opportunity for a Sales Director to join one of the great leaders in sustainable food packaging!  Based in the West Midlands you will have full responsibility for all sales departments and functions ensuring company sales and profit targets are met.  The perfect candidate will have at least 3 years senior sales management experience and able to confidently show strong leadership and coaching skills.  You will be joining a company that prides itself on caring for the planet and providing a high standard of customer service.  Read the job brief below to see if you are indeed our perfect candidate!

The Role

Reporting to the Managing Director as Sales Director you will have entire ownership of the sales function.  You will be responsible for all sales related activities whilst ensuring continued customer satisfaction, profitability and targets are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, manage, coach and develop the sales team ensuring sales activities are maximised 

Be responsible for overall sales strategy and performance of the sales department including the customer service team

Maximise, meet and exceed sales and profit targets

Working to KPI's and managing sales/stock forecasting and budget

Be responsible for setting and monitoring individual and team targets

Be responsible for clear communication of strategy to the sales team

Measure individual and business performance against company objectives 

Develop a strong pipeline of sales opportunities and lead sales growth 

Understand, track and report on all key sales activities including market and competitor activity

Ensure optimal organisational and most efficient structures are in place within the activities of the sales function

Work closely with other departments and colleagues

Directly manage 2/3 key company customers 

Create and deliver presentations to customers and internal colleagues and management team 

Experience & Skills

At least 3 years in a senior Sales Management position within a food packaging / catering disposable packaging environment

Be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills whilst taking a hands-on approach

Able to develop, coach and mentor a sales team

Be self-motivated and take a pro-active approach

Have a passion for sales and the environment, enthusiastic and target driven

Excellent time management and organisational skills

Have a strong commercial awareness

Be an excellent communicator and able to build strong working relationships

Have excellent IT skills, knowledge of NetSuite Power BI would be an advantage but not essential
