You will play a key role in the setting and achieving of sales objectives, setting clear goals and strategies for, and support to, individual and collective targets. Key Responsibilities
Member of the Senior Management Team
Grow & maintain excellent customer relationships and ensure that a healthy sales pipeline is in place. Understand the need and deliver sales that fulfil the overall business needs in terms of profit, capabilities and balance, sustainability and value creation. Ensure robust procedures are in place and adhered to.
Managing and directing the sales activities of the business; external sales, commercial, internal sales and design.
Develop and implement the overall sales strategy and work with Sales Manager to build account plans for all major accounts.
Develop, present and achieve the annual sales volume budget.
Help support and develop investment plans with a clear vision for future growth & positioning in key market sectors.
Oversee use of CRM system.
Building strong and active marketing plan, fully utilising local and national resource to develop and support new business.
Work closely & build intercompany relationships with other businesses in the group to work on joint opportunities and engage in best practices & successes.
Participate in any training or mentoring as required to improve knowledge and increase job capabilities.
Experience, Skills and Qualities
Effective communicator to influence various stakeholders and able to effectively bridge the gap between customer demands and operational capabilities.
Proven direct selling skills as well as the ability to develop and deliver a vision and strategy.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Analytically minded and confident with complex data and ambiguity.
Excellent leadership and management skills with experience in managing sales, people, budget and target achievement.
Proven direct selling skills within the packaging industry.
Good working knowledge of Company financials, P&L etc
To be “tough-minded” when required and carry sufficient credibility and gravitas when dealing with business objectives.
Can bridge the gap between customer demands and plant capabilities.
Must be a confident decision maker and innovative
Ideally educated to Degree or Professional Diploma level with a general technical knowledge of the Corrugated Packaging industry.
Remuneration
