Our client based near Burnley, is looking to appoint a Field Based Service Engineer.

Permanent

Overtime paid at 1.5 standard rate

Company Car, Mobile, expenses provided

The Role

  • To provide on-site service installation and training to customers in the UK.
  • To assist in other technical service tasks such as breakdown and repair
  • To increase customer satisfaction, maximise customer retention and increase profitability by strengthening the technical service and support team.

Main Duties

  • Installation, repair and maintenance of machines on customer sites
  • Deliver service and support to all customers
  • Accurately process and record all support incidents
  • Gather customers information and determine the issues by evaluating and analysing symptoms
  • Cooperate with Technical team and share information
  • Build positive relationships with customers
  • Follow standard processes and procedures
  • Identify and escalate priority issues as per customer specifications

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience

Essential

  • HNC/ONC Engineering or Equivalent
  • Experience as a Service Engineer or Maintenance Engineer
  • Ability to install, test and repair electronic service equipment (pcb circuit boards)
  • Highly motivated to deliver the best service possible to customers
  • Strong Verbal and Written communicator to report into Management level
  • Problem resolution skills
  • Able to mange several tasks simultaneously, works well under pressure and handles stress appropriately
  • Full Valid UK driving license
  • Lives in a commutable distance to Head Office

Desirable

  • GCSE A-C in Maths, English and Science
  • 3 years’ Experience in a Field Service role
  • Training Background desirable
  • Knowledge of Customer Service principles and practices
  • Can demonstrate ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules, including spending time away from home
  • Excellent time management skills
