Cloud 9 are working with one of the UK's leading packaging companies in the Packaging Machinery arena who are looking for a Service Engineer in Cambridgeshire to join their team. You will be responsible for service and maintenance work of equipment at customer sites, providing and overseeing training for customers and identifying cost-effective solutions. The Role
To be involved in the delivery of capital equipment projects through to commissioning phase in-house to installation and commissioning at customer site.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are adhered to
Supporting manufacture in the mechanical and electrical manufacture processes
Lead a team of engineers in the installation of equipment and commission equipment at customer site
Train customers in the procedures for operating equipment safely
Attend customer sites for routine service visits and breakdowns, identifying cost effective solutions
Produce accurate maintenance reports, to include recommendations for improvements
Maintain accurate quality standard files and records
Modify systems as per customer's requirements and document accordingly
Provide excellent customer after sales technical support
Visit supplier sites to carry out FAT's of new equipment
Skills and Experience
3-5 years' experience of servicing and commissioning complex automated product handing solutions incorporating conveyor systems, multiple servos, variable speed drives and HMI controls
Mechanical and electrical diagnosis experience/ONC level
ONC level engineering qualification, or equivalent
PLC program's fault finding
Experience of software packages such as, Omron, Siemens S7, TIA software, Allen Bradley RSLogix 5000 or Allen Bradley Studio 5000
Experience of managing and customer expectations and providing training
It would be desirable if you have:
Experience of developing training for customers
Experience of Robot programming and commissioning experience
Experience of hot melt glue systems

Have excellent numeracy skills
Confident and clear in communicating on all levels
Work well with a team, motivate, lead or manage a team.
Able to make decisions and be accountable for those decisions

Be able to travel as and when required to maintain high customer service which will include overnight stays when necessary
Remuneration
You will receive a salary of up to £50k with company car and other company benefits/incentives.
