Cloud 9 are delighted to be the Assigned Agency working EXCLUSIVELY on this amazing opportunity to join a global leader in a fast-growing SAAS/Software business, whose mission is to drive sustainable growth for speciality manufacturing and distribution companies.


We are looking for a Strategic Account Manager to join a world-renowned market leader who supply the corrugated and paper packaging industry with their well-recognised suite of software solutions.  Your role will be to cover regions in the UK, Ireland, Western Europe and the Nordics.  This is a senior, full sales cycle position where you will bring your strategic ideas and vision to build new leads and generate sales. The perfect candidate will have corrugated/paper and ideally software sales experience. 
 

Due to the nature of this role, you must be based in the UK or Germany, and be prepared to travel.

Key Responsibilities
Responsible for large group customers in the UK, Ireland, Western Europe and the Nordics, developing these to their full potential.
Identify and open up opportunities within other similar large organisations.
Drive opportunities, within the Corrugated, Rigid and Pre-print packaging industries, in conjunction with various departments, partners and support teams to exceed quarterly and annual bookings objectives.
Strategic ideas and vison on how to grow the territory within the Packaging sectors as identified above.
Participate in active sales efforts as defined by the RVP of Sales.
Generate pipeline through current customer relationship management, responding to incoming activity, and adding value-add products to core products.
Generate external sales pipeline building new leads through various trade shows, BDR leads, industry data and zoom info, etc.
Participate in marketing events including conferences, social networking and webinars.
Identify business opportunities and map appropriate solutions to client requirements.
Record all sales activity in company approved sales tracking technology (salesforce.com).
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Research clients, identify key decision makers and generate interest for new solutions.
Build relationships and maintain communication and ongoing contact with clients in territory.

Required Skillset and Experience
We are keen to speak with candidates who meet the criteria as described in this job description.  You are a strong new business development specialist, a relationship builder, self-starter, driven, self-motivated with a willingness to travel throughout the UK, Ireland, Western Europe and the Nordics.  You must also have a strong ability to grasp technology if you don't already have a background in this field.
10+ years of successfully exceeding quota in software sales and/or Corrugated and related packaging sales.
Corrugated packaging experience within a field sales position and also a strong understanding of various roles in the industry that will include Corrugated Sales, Plant Management, IT leadership with experience in full plant ERP and Manufacturing execution solutions.
Proven experience building pipeline in a hunting and/or Key Account Development role.
Excellent written and oral/presentation skills.
Strong computer and CRM (Salesforce.com) proficiency.
Ability to engage and demonstrate value at all levels within an organisation from mid-manager to senior top level.
Knowledge of the full life cycle of the sales process from prospecting to close.
Direct software Sales or Corrugated sales experience for the manufacturing Industry is highly desired.
Direct ERP software sales experience is a very beneficial plus, it is essential however that you can demonstrate the ability and enthusiasm to quickly learn our client's suite of software products.
Ability to problem solve and use consultative selling skills.
Excellent communication skills in English with high level decision makers: ability to listen to clients' needs and clearly communicate solutions in response to them.
Autonomous self-starter.
Travel expectation is up to 50%.
General understanding of Corrugated or paper manufacturing practices and principles.
