Cloud 9 are working exclusively in partnership with a world leading Paper based Packaging business who are looking to appoint a Technical Account Manager to cover the UK.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global organisation with the possibility of career advancement.  You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts and generating sales for their Machine Systems division.  Due to the nature of this role you must have a full Driving License, be fluent in long complex Sales processes, ideally selling capital equipment and have an Engineering background.

 

Core Responsibilities

 

Manage Customer relationships, active accounts and projects.

Maintain Protean database.

Responsible for Built Machine Sales, Other Machine sales.

Interface with our Sales Managers for machine sales linked to corrugated sales.

Liaise with Engineering team.

Generate leads.

Manage enquiries.

Develop supply chain relationships of bought in machines and parts.

To provide costings for enquiries in line with the costing model.

Support the sales team.

Creating and analysing reports and sharing the findings as requested.

Analysis and action of service report finding.

Keep customer contact details up to date.

Maintain service contracts.

Other duties as and when required by the business.

 

Skills & Experience

 

You must have previous experience in a Technical Field Sales position working on long and complex sales projects with strong background in an Engineering environment.  You are able to read and understand Technical Engineering drawings of bespoke machines.

              

Be an excellent communicator who is flexible, creative and thrives in a challenging environment.

Organised, pro-active individual who demonstrates a positive and professional attitude.

Be able to work as part of a team or under own initiative.

Must be able to deal with multiple complex enquiries.

Influence the business in the development of new and existing internal systems.

Must be able to make informed decisions on commercial issues.

Good decisions can influence approach to future build and business profitability and influence future machine/material business and repeat orders.

Excellent IT skills with a good understanding of general PC packages.

Quality systems, environmental and health and safety experience.

Some previous experience of cost estimating, ideally in an engineering environment.

Excellent attention to detail.

 

Remuneration

You will receive a high basic salary in line with your experience and expected with this calibre of role, 15% bonus, Company Car and 25 holidays.  Our client also provides a very generous Pension scheme.
