Cloud 9 are working exclusively with a well-established independent packaging manufacturing business in the North West, currently looking to appoint an experienced Area Sales Manager as part of its continued commercial growth.

The Role
Covering the North West region, the successful candidate will inherit a well-established portfolio of existing accounts whilst also focusing on developing new business opportunities and re-engaging dormant customers across the region.
This is a field-based commercial role suited to someone who enjoys building long-term relationships, opening doors and developing business organically within a professional manufacturing environment.
You will be supported by an experienced internal team across Customer Service, Production, Design and Commercial functions, allowing you to focus on building strong customer partnerships and identifying opportunities for growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and develop an established customer portfolio across the North West
• Generate new business opportunities across a broad range of manufacturing sectors
• Re-engage and develop lapsed or dormant accounts
• Build strong, long-term customer relationships through regular site visits and commercial support
• Work closely with internal departments to ensure service levels and customer expectations are consistently achieved
• Identify opportunities for growth, innovation and added value solutions within existing accounts
• Maintain accurate customer and commercial information
About You
We are keen to speak with experienced field sales professionals who are commercially driven, relationship-led and confident operating within a packaging manufacturing or distribution environment.
You may already work within packaging or alternatively come from another technical or industrial sales background where you have experience managing accounts and developing new business opportunities.
The business is open to product training for the right individual, however we do require someone who is confident in front of customers, capable of opening doors and able to operate autonomously in a field-based role.
The successful candidate is likely to demonstrate:
• Proven experience within a field sales or Area Sales Manager position
• Strong account management and business development capability
• Confidence generating and converting new business opportunities
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
• A stable and progressive career history
• A proactive and professional approach to customer management
