Cloud 9 is delighted to be working on behalf of a highly respected Yorkshire-based packaging manufacturer to appoint an Regional Sales Manager for an established and profitable territory across the North-West and Yorkshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful business with a strong reputation for quality, innovation and customer service. The company supplies bespoke industrial packaging solutions into a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, furniture, kitchen, automotive, aerospace and electronics.

The successful candidate will inherit a well-established customer portfolio currently generating approximately £3 million turnover, whilst also identifying and developing new business opportunities across the region.

This is a retained and exclusive appointment being managed solely by Cloud 9.

The Role

Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will take full ownership of your territory, manage a portfolio of long-standing customers whilst driving sustainable growth through new business development.

You will be given the autonomy to manage your own diary, customer relationships and sales strategy, supported by a highly experienced internal team who are committed to helping you succeed.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and developing an established customer portfolio worth approximately £3 million
  • Identifying and securing new business opportunities across the territory
  • Building strong relationships with customers at multiple levels
  • Negotiating commercial agreements and pricing proposals
  • Working closely with internal design, estimating and customer service teams
  • Identifying opportunities for product development and cross-selling
  • Delivering realistic and achievable growth across the territory
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor activity and emerging sectors
  • Providing accurate sales forecasts and pipeline updates

What We're Looking For

We are seeking a proactive, commercially minded sales professional who thrives on building relationships and creating opportunities.

You will already have experience selling industrial packaging solutions or closely related products into manufacturing environments and will possess a strong track record of both account development and new business generation.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Experience within industrial packaging, transit packaging or a related manufacturing sector
  • A proven track record in field-based B2B sales
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • The ability to identify and develop new market opportunities
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
  • High levels of self-motivation, positivity and resilience
  • A professional and consultative approach to sales
  • Strong organisational and territory management skills
  • The ability to work autonomously whilst contributing positively to a wider team
