Cloud 9 Recruitment are working with a leading packaging manufacturer who supply a wide range of premium glass packaging solutions into the UK and European food industry.

They’re now seeking a Sales Manager to drive growth across key accounts and new business opportunities within the food glass packaging sector.

This is a high-impact role combining strategic account management, tender leadership and hands-on business development, with plenty of autonomy and exposure at senior level.

 The Role

You’ll be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of key accounts (typically £500k – £2 million each), whilst identifying and converting new opportunities across the UK food manufacturing landscape.

It’s a role for a self-starter who thrives on building long-term relationships, winning tenders, and delivering innovative packaging solutions that add real commercial value.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop a portfolio of high-value customers within the food packaging sector
• Lead tenders, quotations and commercial negotiations
• Identify, approach, and secure new business opportunities
• Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers across the supply chain
• Collaborate closely with technical, design and operations teams to deliver tailored solutions
• Report on sales activity, market trends and growth opportunities

About You

• Proven sales success within food glass packaging (essential)
• Strong UK network across food manufacturers, co-packers or retailers
• Confident managing complex accounts and tender processes
• Self-motivated, commercially astute and target-driven
• Based in the UK (excluding Scotland) with flexibility to travel as required
