Our client is a well-established and respected corrugated packaging manufacturer involved in producing a wide range of box styles to suit a diverse customer supply base.  Due to continued success and investment, they are now looking to appoint a Business Development Manager to cover the East Anglia Region.
 
The Role - reporting to the Sales Director
 
Covering the region as outlined above you will be responsible for identifying, approaching and winning new business selling a full range of corrugated packaging solutions.  


Responsibilities
Implementing and fulfilling a sales strategy to ensure sales targets and objectives are met.
Target and win profitable new business, in line with the agreed budgetary targets.
Manage existing business and develop this to it's full potential.
Adhere to all company procedures in respect of customer contracts and agreements pertaining to stock, price, origination and any other identified commercial aspects.
Provide market analysis (including competitor activity and market trends) as required to support strategic business development.
Acquire and maintain a thorough knowledge of the Region, its key users, and their relevant market sectors to identify and exploit profitable new business opportunities.
Project manage the introduction of new customers into the business.
Provide accurate short, medium and long term forecasts as necessary to support business planning activities.
 
The Candidate
Successful track record selling in corrugated packaging solutions (at least 3 years)
Excellent new business development skills, must have drive and determination to source and win new business 
Ability to implement and deliver new sales strategies 
Confidence to discuss solutions with customers
Good communication skills 
Ability to negotiate with strong closing skills 
Good commercial aptitude
Positive and enthusiastic outlook in both the role and the approach to account management

You will receive an attractive basic salary (negotiable depending on experience), company car, mobile, pension & 25 holidays + stats.
