Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for sustainable packaging? Cloud 9 is seeking a Business Development Manager based in the North of England to join an innovative and forward-thinking sustainable packaging business.  You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing £3m accounts in Pharma, Furniture, Electrical and more, while identifying and bringing new opportunities into the company.  This opportunity offers a unique chance to make a significant impact within a dynamic industry!

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee existing well established key accounts, turnover currently £3 million.

Identify and onboard new business opportunities, expectations annually circa £300kpa.

Manage own pipeline ensuring accurate and up to date maintenance of CRM.

Foster strong relationships within client companies on all levels.

Maintain and develop accounts with your commercial knowledge and exceeding targets.

Host customer visits and attend customer sites, develop relationships and problem-solve any issues efficiently.

Manage accounts in a cost-effective manner through balancing customer requirements with the objectives of the company.

Provide monthly sales and activity reports.

Develop a good understanding of the company’s products and services to best promote and serve customer requirements and identify new opportunities.

Be a proactive presence in promotional and marketing activities.

Provide a first-class customer experience at all times.

Adhere to all health & safety and company regulations and standards.

Skills & Experience

Previous experience in the corrugated or printed carton packaging industry.

Proven external sales experience.

Hunter-style attitude.

Experience dealing with major blue-chip accounts/customers.

Commercially, financially and technically astute.

Excellent presentation, negotiation and closing skills.

Computer literate.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels, ability to deal with difficult situations.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to prioritise and work to strict deadlines.

Flexibility to travel as required.
