Key Responsibilities
Prepare, set, and operate equipment on both lines, ensuring products meet specifications and quality standards.
Collaborate with the Shift Supervisor and Engineering Department for preventative and diagnostic maintenance.
Maintain equipment and work areas, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for the next operator.
Perform job changes and adjustments to meet MIL specifications and customer requirements.
Minimise scrap production and strive to exceed department KPIs.
Amend and keep updated record systems.
Accurately record blend recipes and maintain material traceability.
Conduct quality checks and record QA data at specified intervals.
Perform basic maintenance tasks, including filter cleaning, screen changing, and slitter blade changing.
Maintain high standard of organisation and cleanliness of your immediate work area.
Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring health and safety standards are met.
Communicate with other departments to resolve faults and issues, supporting continual improvement.
Update site IT systems and inform supervisors of any plant defects to reduce breakdowns and wastage.
Complete all required documentation for hygiene and quality management systems.
Be conscious of all operational factors required to supervise smooth operation of company site.
Support implementation of strategic plans and support the aims of the company.
Conduct any other task as may be required.
Skills & Experience
Experience of working in a high-volume manufacturing environment, ideally within the plastics industry
Any warehouse qualification (e.g. NVQ) Level 2 or above.
Engineering background or experience.
Experience of working within site and certification body quality standards
Confident using windows-based IT systems
Ability to work autonomously to a high standard, either alone or as part of a wider team.
Remuneration
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, 12-hour shifts (6am-6pm, Days)
Pay £18.78/hour +shift allowance
