Cloud 9 have a fantastic opportunity for a Sales Manager to join a dynamic and growing Plastic Packaging Organisation.  This is a hybrid National role where you will be focusing predominantly on account management with some new business development tied in.  You will be joining a thriving and supportive company in an exciting role that offers UK and potential European travel!

The Role
The Sales Manager position is a critical role within the organisation, focusing on both account management and new business development. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and driving the overall sales strategy.  

Key Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of existing accounts, implementing plans/procedures to ensure new business opportunities are maximised.

Identify, develop, and generate business enquiries and sales leads.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and decision makers.
Maintain positive engagement with existing clients.
Develop an understanding of customer needs and prepare proposals for presentation.
Create and maintain an active sales pipeline, to increase customer base and sales volumes.
Provide first class customer services resolving any issues in a positive and efficient manner. - Manage customer communications, ensuring consistency in pricing and product policies.
Promote company products and ethos through social media and attending events.

Maintain a good knowledge of company products, market conditions, competitor activities and trends, providing reports on such.
Plan sales budgets for presentation to the board, addressing product recommendations, distribution, and pricing policies.
Assess technical proposals ensuring customer requirements are met.
Guide customer service team maintaining good sales procedures.

Proactively follow-up enquiries and orders.

Skills and Experience

Demonstrable successful sales experience in the plastics sector.

Proven successful record in new business development.

Pricing and contract negotiation experience.
Sales planning, forecasting and prospecting experience.
Technical knowledge of the plastic packaging industry.
Proficient in IT systems, CRM/database management.
Excellent communication skills.
Natural relationship builder.
Strong negotiation, presentation and closing skills.
Team Player.
Self-motivated, reliable, and enthusiastic.
Excellent sales leadership and influencing abilities.
