Our client are a leading manufacturer of Corrugated Packaging solutions and they are looking to add to their External Sales team.  This is a fantastic opportunity to join an award-winning organisation taking the next step in your career in joining the management team as a Sales Manager.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of accounts and business development as part of your position.  Candidates who have proven experience in managing a Sales team within the Corrugated Packaging industry will assume the position of Sales Manager.  Candidates who are ready for the next step in their career will be developed into the position of Sales Manager over a period whilst developing the existing customer base to it’s full potential and securing new business opportunities.  The region is the East Midlands.

 

Full autonomy of managing your diary

Agree & implementing sales strategy for territory.

Identify and win new business prospects in accordance with this strategy.

Establish and develop relationships with both existing clients and new business prospects.

Meet agreed targets for new business growth from selected customers.

Understand the customer's business model and processes to identify new opportunities to add value to the customer.

Active involvement in marketing and promotional activities within the site.

Work in conjunction with and provide support as required to the Sales/Business. Development/Account/Technical/Design functions.

Follow agreed company procedures.

Specify objectives for the Sales team, track, optimise and manage performance to increase productivity and sales potential.

Ensure that customer information is maintained by the Sales Team. Actively manage the team to ensure information is translated into clear plans.

Manage and control the optimisation of pricing models.

Establish priorities in line with the sales strategy and utilising the KPIs, to generate sustained improvement in performance for your Region and the Sales team.

The Candidate

We are keen to speak with candidates who have a proven track record in managing a sales territory and/or also have experience of managing a sales team.  You must have a strong background within the Corrugated Packaging industry ideally, within a Sheet Plant.

 

Proven track record of developing existing accounts to their full potential

Demonstrate success in identifying and securing new business

Creating strong business relationships with people at all levels

People management skills are desirable but not essential

Team player

Self-motivated and proactive

Sound organisational skills

Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.

Remuneration

You will receive a high basic salary in line with your experience to date, company car, commission, fantastic contributory pension, 25 holidays.
