The Role
This is a full sales cycle role where you will be responsible for a multi-million pound customer account base including a large portfolio of key accounts. You will also be responsible for sourcing and winning new business opportunities in your region. Your success will depend on your ability to balance both aspects efficiently, demonstrating exemplary skills in business development and account management. You'll thrive on building relationships with key decision makers and stakeholders, continually assessing needs and offering innovative solutions tailored to each client. Your day-to-day responsibilities will not only involve strategizing sales plans but also executing them with precision.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive sales plan to drive regional growth.
Source potential new business opportunities through market research and networking to expand the customer base.
Identify and win new business opportunities building strong relationships with key decision-makers.
Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
Using a consultative approach ensure the best possible solutions meet customer needs and requirements.
Maintain high standards of customer service for all allocated customers, ensuring their needs are met promptly and efficiently.
Negotiate contract terms and conditions, assess profitability of sales deals to ensure mutual benefit.
Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of all company packaging solutions.
Take advantage of potential sales opportunities by working with national accounts teams.
Track leads, enquiries and quotations efficiently using company CRM system ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.
Skills and Experience
At least 1.5 years field-based selling experience in a full sales cycle role within the packaging industry.
Proven success in B2B sales using a solutions-based approach, focusing on customer needs.
Strong presentation, negotiation and closing skills.
Commercially astute.
Strategic thinker.
Ability to plan and execute new business sales campaigns.
Highly self-motivated with excellent presentation skills and a professional demeanour.
Self-motivated and resilient.
Results-driven.
Ability to work under pressure and manage/prioritise heavy workload.
Ability to understand customer needs and tailor solutions.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; CRM experience advantageous.
Excellent time management; ability to manage own diary.
Mentoring and coaching skills desirable but not essential.
Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
Remuneration
You will receive a salary of up to £45k DOE together with a range of bonus/incentive schemes.
