Role Overview
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for covering the South of England. Your primary focus will be on winning new business in industries such as food manufacturing, fresh produce, and drinks manufacturing.
Initially you will manage a small portfolio of existing accounts, ensuring that client relationships are nurtured and maintained whilst continuing to develop your own new business across multiple market sectors.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify and secure new business opportunities within the designated territory.
• Manage and grow a small portfolio of existing accounts.
• Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve targets.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and seamless service delivery.
• Provide regular reports on sales activities and market insights.
Skills and Experience Required
• Proven experience in selling packaging solutions, ideally within the food packaging sector but not essential.
• Existing experience in one of the following packaging markets would be of use, but is not essential as full training will be given to ensure you are able to sell across multiple materials with confidence;
• Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Based in the South or South East of England, with the flexibility to travel nationally as required.
