This position provides the opportunity to significantly influence a vibrant warehousing and distribution environment, ensuring that all operations are fully compliant with regulatory standards and internal protocols.

Role Overview
In the role of Compliance Officer, you will play a crucial part in sustaining and advancing the company's regulatory compliance system. Your specialized knowledge will guarantee that all business activities, methods, and operations are in line with current laws, industry standards, and client expectations. This practical role is ideal for an individual who excels in a fast-moving atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure adherence to all relevant legal, environmental, health & safety, and quality standards (e.g., ISO, BRCGS, FSC, Sedex).
QA: Make improvements to quality check process of production run packaging to ensure print and physical construction are within manufacturing tolerances.
Develop, implement, and sustain policies, procedures, and documentation.
Lead audits (internal and external) and manage corrective actions.
Monitor and report on compliance risks and performance metrics.
Conduct regular training and awareness sessions for staff.
Stay informed about changes in legislation and industry standards.
Collaborate closely with production, quality control and senior management teams.
Implement EPR & EUDR packaging regulations and policies.

Skills & Experience
Proven experience in a compliance or quality management role.
Knowledge of Corrugated packaging production required ideally within a manufacturing environment.
BRCGS standards knowledge essential.
Strong understanding of relevant UK regulations, including environmental and H&S legislation.
NEBOSH or similar health & safety qualification (preferred).
Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and compliance management systems.
Full and valid UK driving licence.
Right to work in the UK.
