Key Responsibilities
- Manage the external sales team, set targets, assess performance, and provide coaching.
- Implement strategic plans with Sales Executives.
- Lead the team in finding new opportunities and expanding the customer base.
- Secure new business, meeting personal targets.
- Ensure accurate customer interaction logging in CRM.
- Prepare strategic customer account plans.
- Track team activities like quotes and orders.
- Collaborate with Internal Sales, Purchasing, and Logistics.
- Understand packaging solutions.
- Handle escalated customer issues.
- Identify development opportunities for team members.
- Support strategic sales initiatives.
- Work with other management and functional teams across the business.
What You Will Bring
- Minimum 18 months experience managing an external sales team
- Reside within the Midlands
- Proven track record in new business and account management
- Strong leadership, coaching, and development experience
- Strategic sales planning abilities
- Familiarity with packaging-related products and implementing solutions
- Experience in fast-paced sales environments
- Effective communication & presentation skills
- Strong numeric and data interpretation skills
Package
- Basic salary up to £65,000 plus bonus and company package
