Cloud 9 is seeking a dedicated Systems Engineer to join a thriving organisation within the Strapping sector. This role offers the chance to work with advanced strapping systems, ensuring their smooth operation across the UK and Ireland. While based in the Midlands, this position involves national travel, providing first-class on-site support. We welcome candidates with excellent technical knowledge, a strong work ethos and a willingness to travel.

Key Responsibilities
Install and commission on-site strapping machines on-site.
Perform preventive measures minimising downtime and optimising performance.

Perform diagnosis and fault repairs in electrical, mechanical and control systems.
Deliver strong technical solutions.
Provide on-site customer training.
Produce comprehensive service reports.

Maintain job records accurately and keep effective communication open as to follow-ups and recommendations.
Show commercial awareness and an understanding of the wider goals of the company.
Lead from the front in nurturing a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Maintain a tidy and organised car stock.

Actively promote company products and values, ensuring everything is in good order.

Actively partake in on-site training, virtually and at the company’s site outside of the UK.

Skills and Experience

Experience within a manufacturing environment.

A proven electrical and mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent qualification is advantageous.
Aptitude for diagnosing and repairing technical issues.
Excellent communication skills on all levels.

Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and show initiative.

Effectively prioritize a heavy workload.
Adept at Microsoft Office software.

Experience with SAP/Siemens S7/WinCC Flex/17th Edition is desirable although training can be provided.
Hands-on approach to manual tasks.
Commercially astute with excellent observational skills and commercial awareness.

Ability to recognise new opportunities for upselling services and products.
A problem-solver.

Resilient.
Punctual and self-disciplined.

Strong work ethos.

Results-driven.
Have a FLT Licence or willing to obtain one.

Full clean UK driving licence is crucial.

Remuneration
